Our Approach
What sets River City Custom Homes apart is our dedication to detail. We have created a streamlined system that has proven to be less stressful, more efficient, and truly enjoyable for our clients. Our process takes every aspect of building your home into consideration including YOU. We value quality over quantity and take on a limited number of homes each year so that we can give you the best building experience possible. We don’t strive to be the biggest home builder - we strive to be the best.
Design + Planning
Every project starts with a great design. Whether you choose from one of our River City Series custom floor plans or bring your own plans, we’ll discuss every aspect of your layout to make sure it works for you and your family.
At our design meeting we’ll review your floor plan and any changes you may want to have made, as well as pricing and lot selection.
When you’re ready, you’ll sign off on the contract.
Our draftsman then completes custom drafts of any design changes we made during our meeting and we present you with those for your final review and approval.
Your Buildertrend app is set up and you’re provided a customized sample box and selection binder to help you with finish decisions.
Selections
Choosing interior and exterior finishes can be overwhelming, but we make it stress-free for you by providing you with customized samples and the Buildertrend app, which helps you organize all of your choices, and keeps everyone on the same page with selections.
Make your finish selections and input them into the Buildertrend app.
We monitor all Buildertrend input to ensure it is communicated to our whole team as well as our vendors.
Pricing, quotes and receipts can all be accessed from within the app, but if you have any questions during this process, we’re always here to help.
Building Phase
Our building stage is made more efficient by front-loading all the decision making and using the Buildertrend app to cut down on communication gaps and errors. During this time we’ll use the app to send you weekly photos and updates so you can see exactly what progress has been made on your home.
A pre-construction meeting is held before we break ground, and everything is laid out on paper to ensure there are no errors or oversights.
Weekly progress pictures and quality checks are provided by our team as we manage the construction site each day.
At your request, we can meet you and your family for any site visits - we know it is exciting to see it all come together!
Home Orientation + Warranty
We want you to feel comfortable in your new home from day one, which is why we provide critical post-construction services including a home orientation and a one-year warranty during which we’re always available to you for questions or concerns.
We provide an in-person home walkthrough orientation so you know where everything is and how everything works, and if there are any issues, we can identify them together.
We’ll work with you to make sure all lender paperwork is ready for your closing and we’ll also provide warranty paperwork at this time.
You can continue to use your Buildertrend app to submit any warranty claims during the first year you live in your home.
